This section is sort of a database with links to sites with art resources but it really needs to be updated as my focus has changed since this list was made.

As I scour the Internet, I come across a lot of websites with art resources - everthing from tutorials to images, software, brushes, you name it. Luckily for us "hobby" artists, a lot of them are free.

Envato Tuts+
Originally designtutsplus. I have a paid subscription ($15 per month) but there are also a lot of free tutorials. Although there are tutorials/courses for a range og subjects, I primarily use this site for learning about Illustrator and Photoshop. After becoming "envatotuts+", the site has become a lot more commerical. Tutorials usually have no source files and there are references to elements that can be bought (individually/subscription) at Envato Elements.
Pxhere
The following is posted on the site as an answere to "What is Pxhere?": On Pxhere you may find and share images free of copyrights. All pictures are released under Creative Commons CC0 into the public domain.
Psd-dude
Intereresting name considering the fact that the site is created and maintained by John (no last name provided) and his wife. This site has lots of free Photoshop tutorials. The tutorials are easy to follow and you usually end of with a nice finished product. The site provides free resources but also has advertisements for paid resources at Graphicriver, one of the subsites at Envato Market.
Secrest (Jason Secrest)
A very good site to learn the basics of Adobe Illustrator. I have also subscribed to Jason's Youtube channel, where he writes: "This channel will feature my graphic design and digital media tutorials for my high school classroom. It will feature Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Cartooning tutorials, tips, and step by step instruction."
Spoon Graphics
Owed by Christopher Spooner (Photoshop and Illustrator). Paid membership available ($10 per month), but I have not yet tried it out. He provides a good desicription of the site: My aim is to help you create cool designs by sharing tutorials, resources and inspiration. I post three main types of content: Tutorials to show you how to create awesome designs; Freebies to use in your own artwork; and Articles to share theory and inspiration from various creative genres. Every week you'll find a new post that falls into one of these categories, alongside periodic updates letting you know about cool deals and site news.
Vecteezy
Lots and lots of free vectors. You can also subscribe to a premiumn account. There are also lots of vectors found at commerical sites like Shutterstock. This is also a great place to get inspiration or ideas for your own projects.
